KW Escape’s is one of those rare gems in the escape room world. While there are some good run-by-the-owner rooms built into old office spaces, there are few like this.  The building is 6,000 square feet, it is extremely well run and professional, and I think I counted at least six staff moving about taking care of guests. Although we generally handle overall facility reviews through Google, it is worth mentioning here.

The staff here are great. Very friendly and helpful. The introduction is done via video in a closed room before they come back in and address you as “campers”.  The hints are delivered by a very clever, electronic, self-serve system where you can press a buttton near a puzzle to get varying levels of detail that you choose. This was probably the best hint system I’ve seen in a room.

Walking into this room you’re going to blown away by the scale and the amount of high quality props. I have to fight describing it because I want your jaw to drop like ours did walking into this room. Great audio, appropriate flooring and walls, appropraitely lit.  The only downside to KW Escape is that the walls do not go to the ceiling (which is very) which means you do hear noise from other rooms. However, in this particular room, the high cieling, extra noise, and bright lighting was totally appropriate and added to the outdoor feelings.

The puzzles here are properly themed and straight forward.  We did require the hint system a few times which we were more comfortable using because of how they are delivered.  With two people, this room is almost impossible to beat – there’s just too much stuff to do.  I recommend brining 4 people but this room could easily accomodate up to 6.  We have no complaints about the logic of puzzles or things being broken or not working right.

This, to me, is one of my favourites in the region and I’m really glad we stopped in here. This room will raise the bar on your escape room expectations!
