Summary
The Laundromat is one of the shady businesses of Mrs. Parker, the tyrant who rules The City. You will have to infiltrate as simple workers to find and sabotage the production and distribution of the new drug that is ravaging the city and controlling the population: Lunalina. To do so, you may have to pretend to be someone you are not... You have two objectives: on the one hand, discover who Parker's three main partners are and, on the other, find the Lunalina and steal it without its owner, Mel, finding out.

We loved visiting The City in Madrid where the experience begins before you even enter. Once you are let inside you find yourself in a futuristic city where each escape room is a building you’ll find as you walk down the alley. What this means is that you may run into other players as they roam “the streets” trying to solve their own puzzles. It’s a really cool experience and as of almost 150 rooms, we’ve never seen anything like this.

Our host, Marina, was amazing. She roleplayed multiple characters excellently and played a huge role in the experience. Only one other room we’ve done have had live actors so deeply immersed in the experience. Her narrative and hints were natural. She MADE the story come to life. She didn’t just help us through a room but she created the experience. We can’t speak highly enough of Marina and the value she provided.

We completed this room (okay, a little over time) with three people but you really want four people. Communication is really important and there’s too much to complete AND communicate and complete this in the allocated time. It’s a bit challenging but I wouldn’t rate it too much more than a medium difficultly – medium-hard maybe?

The set is incredible and is complete with well thought out audio and lighting in each space. The story is extremely apparent – The City isn’t just an escape room, it’s an experience. There’s a great mix of puzzle styles including memory based, matching, attention to detail, and spatial. But don’t be scared – you’ll have a Marina in the room who will appropriately nudge you along at the right pace to keep things exciting.

You have to go here, you have to do this room, and you have to ask for Marina. What are you waiting for??
