We were really excited to try out this location in Madrid because our other experiences had been really good so far. Coco Room has locations across Spain and I’d expect the experience should be similar. The hosts English was good and all the materials were available in English. You can specify your preferred language when booking the room.
It’s rare for us to see “new” things in escape rooms but there was one or two things in here that I would call new. The experience starts off in an office where you need to find the clues left by the master brewer. Once successful, you’ll end up in a small brewery where you’ll need to understand the process of brewing. Finally, after a short trip through a maze of beer boxes, you’ll find yourself in a quaint little pub.
The first room didn’t feel too exciting if I’m honest, and I always am, but the experience overall was excellent. The puzzles all fit the theme and were well thought out – very few traditional locks in here. There is enough space and enough to do to keep four individuals busy but could likely be completed by two savvy players.
Excellent ambient lighting is present but it would be nice to have some audio in here as well. We love when rooms incorporate things like water or the sense of smell to bring another dimension to the sensory experience.
We found this room to be a medium difficulty and we completed it in time. If you’re successful, you may just be rewarded with a round of beer at the end.
