This room brought back memories of those second generation escape rooms – the ones that were very puzzle heavy with layered thinking involved. It’s one of the few rooms where I think a group of four or five people would be ideal.

We failed to complete this room as a duo – we failed miserably in fact. There are a LOT of puzzles. A group of four or even five is a great idea – and we almost never recommend five people because we think it’s too much. You’re going to need to be creative and let yourself really imagine that you’re in that setting. I saw a couple of puzzles and solutions that I’ve never seen before. This is why the puzzle section is rated a 9 – they’re solid puzzles and there’s a lot of them.

That said, there are a couple of them that need to change and that’s why the general experience is a bit lower. We spent far too long examining a couple of items that, in our opinion, are given to you far too early in the experience and almost become a red herring. There are also two puzzles that could relate to one lock and that lock is extremely hard to read. If the venue can fix these two issues, it’ll make a huge difference to the experience.

The room is well built with a couple of areas for improvement that we’ve recommended. There is good lighting variations but it could use some audio to complete the experience. There was one -based hint on the TV that was misleading.

We did like this room despite the areas available for improvement. I think a team of five would love going through this room and would do it quite well. If you have a bigger group, give it a try! Hit that book now button.
