We were really excited for a room that we somewhat expected to be ET-themed – like the movie. Now, I’m sure that licensing for ET is very expensive and they may not want to take the risk of being sued because the room is one prop too close to the movie. However, we want to point out that this room is not themed like the ET movie, but is an alien-themed museum.

Knowing that, the room is definitely an alien-themed museum that has somehow incorporated alien technology into the elements of the room. There is a good amount of appropriate lighting and several immersive audio cues and some video elements. Some of those elements can get repetitive if you have to attempt things multiple times.

The space is big and you’ll benefit from having a larger group. We tend to do our rooms in pairs and the space that needed to be covered here would have been too much. Four to six people will do quite well in this medium-hard difficulty room.

Rooms like museums and office buildings should be so easy to make incredibly immersive. There are Facebook Marketplace display counters and storage room shelves available all the time. Drop ceilings can be purchased used and are HVAC and sprinkler friendly. It should be possible to build a very realistic museum and I feel like the build missed the mark here.

If you’re really into alien-themed (not ET!) rooms, and you have a larger group, this could work for you. However, we think that there are better rooms at Trapped that may make a funner, more immersive experience.
