“You and your team of adventurers have stumbled onto the ancient sanctum of the legendary wizard Merlin. He has collected many treasures and now gives you the chance to enter his domain and collect the single most powerful artifact in his collection, Excalibur! But can you make it past all the traps and puzzles that guard his most prized possession? We shall see!”
I’ll start off here by saying that the staff are great here. It’s a nice space with lots of room, a nice sized games room (needs more games), and clean facilities. We enjoyed the rooms we did but found them to be a bit light on things to do. This room is definitely doable with 2, is well-suited for 4, and can hold 6 but it will be a little crowded.
The creators have done a good job at integrating unique lighting and audio into each space and the builds are quite good overall. This room had some props that need a little touch-up and some elements felt a bit out of place for a magic-themed room. Other than that it was well made and I appreciated their approach to the build.
The puzzles were a good mix of styles in this room but like one of their other rooms, we found that one of the puzzles became more about racing the clock while transposing information rather than solving the puzzle itself. This can be frustrating as once you’ve figured out how to do it, the work becomes a bit tedious.
All in all, a fun room with good ambiance. We rate this an easy-medium room.
