One of our highest-rated rooms (The Pirates’ Code) is at Jigsaw Escape Rooms at Byward market. The level of detail that Jigsaw puts into their rooms is incredible. We’ve only been to a few places that put so much effort into their builds.
The staff are passionate about what they do and their excitement is contagious. They’re very helpful and excited to see people finish successfully. They really help take the rating up.
The build quality is, as mentioned, excellent. There is attention to detail in the space, the props, the story, the puzzles, lighting, and audio. They check all the boxes. Were some of the items borderline cheesy while being cool? Yes. Were some of the puzzles bordering on magical rather than historical? Yes. But we as a culture seem to love to think of medieval societies as being somehow secretly very advanced. So, we let it go.
We did have a problem with either a door opening too soon or not being reset properly and we did lose a lot of time because of that and the staff member had to enter the room. I’m certain that this happens from time to time with everyone everywhere and so we easily excuse this here.
We loved this solid medium-difficulty room. It’s huge and could easily accommodate 6 or even 8 players though 3 or 4 could do this room as well.
