Before I go on, while this is the same physical space as Haunted, it is a very different experience! You will definitely want to do both experiences.
District3 is a great escape room in Regina that is worth the drive from the surrounding area (we drove in from Hamilton, Ontario!) David and the game other hosts are enthusiastic and passionate and are the icing on the cake of a great experience. Their location has a huge set of board games for purchase and virtual escape rooms for you to try.
Acra Malum is a unique experience in that you can actually play it twice with two different but continuing storylines. Once as Haunted, the second time as Arcum Malum. This room is packed with great tech as well as physical puzzles. The space is immersive (though could use a couple of final touches to complete the look) and is exciting to play through.
Like Haunted, It’s creepy, but not scary. (It actually gave us a couple of good jumps!) The storyline and your purpose there are very clear and the puzzles, lighting, and audio cues are all logical, making the experience very immersive.
There are lots of things to do in this room and 4 to 6 players will keep busy though we were able to complete it with just two people within the time limit and using the built-in story-based hints. We found it to be a medium-difficulty room that will be fun regardless of your experience level.
Definitely give this room a go and follow it up with a run through Arca Malum!
