We’ve done our fair share of escape rooms and have our opinion as to what are the most overdone escape rooms. But what does the data say about what rooms are actually out there?
Below is a table based on the research of Scott Nicholson entitled Peeking Behind the Locked Door: A Survey of Escape Room Facilities. The entire pdf is quite interesting, but here, we’re going to look at just the data on the room type. We’ve added a column on the right to show what percentage of the rooms we’ve done fit into that category.
It’s also worth noting that the respondents were made up of 52% Europeans, 25% North Americans, and the rest from around the world.
